From here, I can’t even tell if he lost traction. Kinda looks more like a reflex, like he deliberately swung wide, as if he forgot that there’s no trailer behind him that might clip that stop sign.
(Eh, maybe I’m reading too much into the truck’s body language. He’s not signaling, so why would I even think that he was turning right?)

He ended up going straight. I think the braking and crown of the road caused the back to kick out.

Some insurance companies won’t let truck drivers drive bobtail without special coverage because of the complete difference in handling dynamics. Trucks are built to have weight back there and a lot of it.

I feel like I am a street racer, when there’s a tractor blocking me on a rural road. I shift into second and cross the DASHED yellow line. It feels really weird driving on the opposite side.
Then I floor it, it reaches forty in 3 seconds.
